    Candace Dufour, PharmD, is a dedicated and accomplished pharmacist who has been an integral part of Southern Pharmacy since 2010. A graduate of Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy in Winchester, Virginia, she began her career as a staff pharmacist, gaining valuable expertise in both retail and Long -Term Care pharmacy. Her experience has included a focus on IV therapies and anticoagulant dosing, which has informed her comprehensive approach to medication management. In January 2023, Candace stepped into the role of Director of Consulting Services at Southern Pharmacy, where she thrives as a liaison between the pharmacy’s customers and internal teams. Her passion lies in finding innovative ways to provide superior customer service and ensure optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.

Beginning April 1, 2025, NC Medicaid PCS in adult and family care homes will be reimbursed on a per diem (per day) payment structure, rather than the current 15-minute increment, and will the new service will be called Congregate Care Setting services.

    On January 29, 2025, NCSLA hosted a webinar presented by NC Medicaid with WRenia Bratts-Brown, Associate Director, Home and Community Based Services and Juanita Jefferson, Personal Care Services Unit Manager regarding the upcoming Medicaid per diem (per day) payment system for Medicaid Personal Care Services (PCS). Effective April 1, 2025, Medicaid PCS in adult and family care homes will be called Congregate Care Setting services and will be reimbursed on a per diem payment structure.
